Helping you move forward…

CBT is a well-recognised and evidence-based approach, widely used across the NHS and in private practice. It is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as an effective treatment for a range of mental health difficulties, including depression and anxiety.

CBT is a practical, goal-focused therapy that helps you identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, develop coping strategies, and build confidence in managing difficult emotions. Over time, you’ll learn new ways of thinking and responding that can lead to lasting positive change in your mood and overall well-being.

More than any other talking therapy, CBT has been the subject of extensive research showing that the benefits often continue long after therapy has ended. In our sessions, we’ll work together to find practical solutions that fit your unique needs and goals. My aim is to help you feel confident in using the skills you learn so that, eventually, you can become your own therapist—applying these tools to navigate challenges and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

How can I be sure that CBT is the right approach for me?

If you’re curious about CBT or unsure whether it’s the right fit, I offer an informal initial session where we can explore your concerns and goals together. This session gives you the chance to talk openly about what’s been difficult, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of how I work. From there, we can decide together whether CBT feels like the right approach for you.
